Dhaka Abahani hardly avoid defeat over Fortis

A lackluster Dhaka Abahani Limited rarely avoided another defeat over Fortis Football Club Limited as the both sides shared one point each following a 1-1 tie in the 11^th round game of the ABG Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj on Friday.

Fortis beat Dhaka Abahani in the first meeting of the league but this time they failed to make another memorable victory due to a late equalizer of Cornelius Stewart.

Earlier, Fortis took the lead in the 61^st minute when Valeri Hryshy broke the deadlock with a nice finisher. Abahani, however, tried hard to make the thing level and they finally succeed in the added time of the first half when Cornelius found the back of the net.

Abahani remained in the third position of the table with 19 points, nine points behind table toppers Bashundhara Kings and one behind Mohammedan who played one game less. Fortis on the other hand remined in the sixth position with 13 points.
