Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited failed to beat Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited in their home ground at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalgonj as the ABG Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League match ended with a 1-1 tie on Friday.

Sheikh Russel took the lead in the 23rd minute of the game when Guinean forward Sekou Sylla scored in his debut match. However, Uzbekistan midfielder Shokhrukhbek Kholmato leveled the margin with a penalty conversion in the 56th minute that gave secured one point for Sheikh Jamal who remained in the fourth position of the table with 14 points from 10 matches while Sheikh Russel are in the seventh with 11 points. The first battle between both sides saw Russel won 2-1 at their home ground.
