History of the club: Bashundhara Kings are run under the patronage of Bashundhara Group, a renowned industrial group of the country. Although born in 2013, the club started its journey in the country's football in 2016 with the Pioneer Football League. By occupying the third position in the league, they were promoted to the Third Division League. However, they request BFF to consider them in the Bangladesh Championship League directly. After receiving the green signal from BFF, Bashundhara Kings formed the best team and entered the Bangladesh Premier League as champions of the Champions League, the second-tier league of the country. They formed the best team for the first time. Daniel Colindres, the star of Costa Rica who played in the World Cup, was roped in. Besides, they took a bunch of stars of the national team. As a result, they became league champions in the first year. After that, they did not have to look back. After the debut, the club has written its name in history by winning the league four times in a row. Besides, they have won two Federation Cup and Independence Cup titles each. Bashundhara Kings are the only football club in the country to have its own venue. At the Bashundhara Residential Area, they have built the modern Bashundhara Kings Arena with their own funding. This venue is also used as the home venue of the Bangladesh national team.

International Success: Bashundhara Kings made their international debut in 2020 by playing in the group stage of the AFC Cup. The Kings signed world star Lionel Messi's Argentinian teammate Hernan Barcos before the AFC Cup. The debut match was against Eagle FC of Maldives at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. Barcos scored four goals in that match. Kings made their debut with a big margin win. However, the event was canceled due to the Corona pandemic. As the league champions, Bashundhara Kings played directly in the group stage of the AFC Cup next three times in a row. They have been group runners-up every occasion.
