Bangladesh Police Football Club began their campaign of the second phase of the ABG Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League with a winning note when they beat Chittagong Abahoni 1-0 at the Shaheed Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Friday.

After a barren first half, Md. Al Amin scored the winner in the 79th minute of the game. Police beat Chittagong Abahoni 2-0 in the first meeting of the ongoing league. With the fourth win in the 10 matches, Police went one position up in the table as they now in the fifth position with 13 points.  Chittagong Abahani are in the eighth position with 10 points.
